NeoProducts Australia goes wild at the Bronx Zoo
A robust, water resistant, outdoor daylight-readable touchscreen terminal was designed by Neo for deployment in a very harsh environment at the Bronx Zoo in New York. The 19 units not only had to meet very strict climate constraints with temperatures ranging from very hot to below freezing, but also had to be remotely located from PCs housed in a central location. These bespoke kiosks have met all expectations of our client, the Wildlife Conservation Society. Even though the client is based in America, NeoProducts Australia was seen as the only company able to provide a solution to the design specification. The project was conducted long distance with no face to face contact. Neo's long experience and extensive design and engineering capabilities enabled us to achieve what others could not. This interactive information facility is housed in the new tiger exhibit. The kiosks provide a valuable educational tool for visitors to the zoo and compliment this state-of-the-art exhibit. Users can also register on the kiosk for further communication with the zoo.
